John Merrill’s commitment to education is evident in his philanthropy. He has created three endowments at UT Arlington. To sustain and grow these endowments, Merrill has also provided a $1 million planned gift to UT Arlington. “These gifts are about finding ways I can make a difference in other people’s lives,” Merrill says, “both now and in the future.”

The Chance Vought Engineering and Science Endowment, established by the Vought Aircraft Heritage Foundation, will provide scholarships to engineering and science students and will support K-12 outreach efforts in the colleges of Science and Engineering.

Arnold E. Petsche has made a $1 million commitment to UT Arlington’s College of Engineering. He has established the Arnold E. Petsche Center for Automotive Engineering endowment. His gift will double in value through a match program to create a $2 million endowment.
