Accommodations
We received an extraordinary response to our hotel registration email sent earlier in the year. As many of you experienced, the interest in rooms at the Beverly Wilshire exceeded the hotel’s capacity. For those who have not yet booked accommodations, we encourage you to make plans at one of the many beautiful hotels in the area. While the rates will differ from place to place, those closest in proximity to the host hotel include The Beverly Hilton, Montage Beverly Hills, SIXTY Beverly Hills,The Peninsula Beverly Hills and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
If you’re already on the wait list for the Beverly Wilshire, we will keep you on it while you explore other options. Due to the scheduling of the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards the same weekend, hotel rooms are in high demand. Please make hotel reservations separate from the CCEC online registration form.
If you are not yet on the Beverly Wilshire wait list and would like to be added, please contact our office at 512-499-4277 or via email at rsvp@utsystem.edu. We will continue to move wait-listed CCEC members into the Beverly Wilshire as rooms become available, and we’ll be in contact with you in advance, to confirm that you still wish to transfer there.
If, over the summer, you determine that you no longer need your room at the Beverly Wilshire, please contact our office before releasing the room so that we may offer it to another member at the special CCEC rate.
Please note: If you made a reservation at the Beverly Wilshire, a full deposit of estimated room and tax will be charged to each guest individually 35 days (August 10, 2017) prior to program arrival. If a guest should cancel or shorten their reservation after August 10th, 100% of the estimated room revenue and tax will be charged to the individual, according to the hotel.
Football Tickets - SOLD OUT
On game day, we will travel by bus to The Coliseum to cheer on the Texas Longhorns as they take on the USC Trojans. We receive a limited quantity of football tickets from UT Austin and do our very best to fill your requests for up to two tickets. Unfortunately at this time, we have sold out of tickets. Thank you for your understanding and please contact us if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
If you are eligible to purchase tickets through the Longhorn Foundation, we encourage you to do so. (As always, we offer gratitude to UT Austin for making the tickets available.)

Pre-Meeting Optional Tour Activities
Friday, September 15, 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
You may choose to register for one of the following pre-meeting optional tour activities:
Walk the halls of The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and experience a retrospective of the events that marked Reagan’s life, presidency and our generation. Explore the interactive displays, movie rooms, artifacts and exhibits that take a journey beginning with Reagan's childhood and follow his life through his film career, military service, and political trajectory. See the Berlin Wall, step inside the real Air-Force One, stand in the Oval Office, and enjoy the stunning view of Simi Valley. Total time needed for this activity (including transportation and boxed lunches on the return trip) will be approximately 5 hours. *Located 45 miles from The Beverly Wilshire with a 60-75 minute bus ride and a 2.5 hour tour.
Take a road trip through history. The Petersen Automotive Museum celebrates America’s passion with the automobile – exploring its history and its impact on American life and culture. Step into the automotive past and experience the “Streetscape,” surrounding period vehicles with architecture of eras gone by, immersing visitors deep into the stories that were told. Enjoy the collection of iconic vehicles featuring classic cars, concept cars and antique automobiles. But a visit to LA would not be complete without seeing a bit of Hollywood while you get a close look at famous movie cars, including the original Batmobile, Back to the Future’s DeLorean and even Lightening McQueen. Explore the transformed Petersen Museum for a personal encounter with the art, experience, culture and heritage of the automobile. Total time needed for this activity (including lunch at the Museum and transportation) will be approximately 3.5 hours. *Located 2.5 miles from The Beverly Wilshire with a 15 minute bus ride and a 2.5 hour tour.

Join us to cheer on the UT Longhorns as they take on the defending Rose Bowl champion, the USC Trojans, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
