UT System Regents to meet Oct 4
AUSTIN – The University of Texas System Board of Regents will hold a special meeting by telephone conference call on Friday, Oct. 4, in Austin.
The meeting will convene at 9 a.m., and the regents will immediately recess to executive session to consider legal and personnel matters.
The agenda for the meeting is posted online.
The Board will reconvene in open session at about 10 a.m. to consider action, if any, on executive session items. In the open portion of the meeting, the Board is expected to appoint, effective immediately, the regents’ representative to The University of Texas at Austin’s Intercollegiate Athletic Council for men as well as for women. The meeting will adjourn shortly after 10 a.m.
Members of the news media may listen to the meeting in the Board of Regents Chairman’s office on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street. Media parking is available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 6th and 7th streets.
