UT System Regents approve contract negotiations
The University Of Texas System Board Of Regent has authorized The University of Texas at Austin President Bill Powers to conclude negotiations and execute an employment contract for Charles R. Strong as the new head football coach for UT Austin.
The regents’ unanimous vote came during a special telephone conference call meeting Monday morning in Austin.
Although Strong, the former University of Louisville head football coach, accepted the job offer two weeks ago, the terms of the contract must be approved by the Board of Regents. Athletic contracts that exceed $ 250,000 per year must receive Board approval according to Regents’ Rules.
The term sheet approved by Regents is available here.
