UT System Board of Regents to meet tonight
The University of Texas System Board of Regents will hold a special meeting by telephone conference call today, Thursday, Oct. 16, in Austin.
The agenda book for the meeting is available online.
The Board will convene in open session at 8 p.m. to receive a time-sensitive update on infectious diseases, including the provision of specialized health care and the current state of preparedness across the UT System.
The Board will recess to executive session at approximately 8:30 p.m. to consider legal and individual personnel issues related to public health matters and the provision of specialized health care. Regents will reconvene in open session at approximately 9 p.m. to consider action, if any, on executive session items.
The meeting is expected to adjourn at about 9:15 p.m.
Members of the news media may listen to the open session portion of the meeting on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th Street. Parking is available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 6th and 7th streets.
