UT System Regents to meet Feb. 10-11
GALVESTON — The University of Texas System Board of Regents will meet Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 10-11, in Galveston. The meeting will be held at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston’s Research Building 6 at Market and 9th Street, room 1.206.
The agenda book and links to the live webcast for the meeting are posted online. Parking for news media is available in the Plaza parking garage at Mechanic Street and 6th Street.

- Consider approval of a clinical facility expansion of the UT Southwestern Monty and Tex Moncrief Medical Center at Fort Worth.

- Report on the activities and progress of UT BRAIN, the virtual UT System Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Institute.

- Overview of UT Medical Branch – Galveston presented by President David Callender.
- Progress report on strategic Quantum Leaps initiatives presented by Chancellor William H. McRaven.
- Consider allocation of $30 million for the Science and Technology Acquisition and Retention (STARs) program in part to expand the Rising STARs program.
- Consider allocation of $5 million in continued funding for the UT System Research Incentive Program, or UTRIP, to help UT Arlington, UT Dallas, UT El Paso and UT San Antonio reach top tier status.
- Report on the development performance of UT System institutions.
