UT System Regents to meet May 11-12
AUSTIN — The University of Texas System Board of Regents will meet Wednesday and Thursday, May 11-12, in Austin. The meeting will be held on the ninth floor of Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 W. 7th St.
The agenda book and links to the live webcast for the meeting are posted online. Parking for news media is available at the guard kiosk on Colorado Street between 6th and 7th streets.

10:30 a.m. – Academic Affairs Committee
- Consider approval to create a College of Nursing at UT Permian Basin.
- Consider approval to support the Agreement of Cooperation in Higher Education and Research with The National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) of Mexico.
- Consider approval of preliminary authority for a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at UT Rio Grande Valley.
11:15 a.m. – Health Affairs Committee
- Consider approval to support a new UT System Clinical Data Network.
12 p.m. – Executive session
2 p.m. – Technology Transfer and Research Committee
- Report on assessment of technology commercialization offices and process of commercialization discovery by Julie Goonewardene, associate vice chancellor for Innovation and Strategic Investment and managing director of the UT Horizon Fund.
- Report and discussion on the initiatives of the UT System Institute for Transformational Learning (ITL), by Dr. Steven Mintz, executive director of ITL, and Dr. Marni Baker Stein, chief innovation officer.
