Austin State University employees, retirees, and dependents will automatically have the same type of insurance coverage at the same coverage level through The University of Texas System as what they have through ERS on July 1, 2023, with the option to make changes if you wish to.

We will work closely with your SFA benefits and human resources offices to ensure your transition to the UT Benefits program, including the medical plans and optional benefits, are available and accessible to you beginning September 1, 2023.
