The Office of Risk Management (ORM) manages a variety of self-insurance programs.
All fund balances are managed by Risk Accounting in conjunction with other sections of ORM as well as other departments at The University of Texas System.
Accounting staff deal directly with actuaries providing historical loss data for reviews and recommendations of ultimate losses, rates and rating strategies and capitalization targets. Risk Accounting manages all the transactional and financial reporting responsibilities for the following risk financing programs administered by ORM and the Office of General Counsel.
