The University of Texas Health Intelligence Platform (UT-HIP) is a system-wide program run collaboratively by The University of Texas System’s eight health institutions. Working across the system, drawing on the expertise of UT leaders in healthcare, research, business, and IT. The UT-HIP program is designed to integrate data and technology to improve patients’ experience of care, improve the health of the populations served by UT institutions, and reduce the overall cost of health care across the system.

The newly formed UT-HIP council had its inaugural meeting in March and met again in May. The council is made up of UT health enterprise-wide representation for the following key strategic areas:

The UT-HIP Council is the voting body to:
- Direct UT-HIP initiatives and projects
- Establish Key Performance Indicators
- Approve/review associated budget
- Champion UT-HIP efforts at your local campus
- Gain alignment with your peers across institutions
- Transformational leaders to enhance engagement awareness
